like nothing's wrong

led

i miss you, missing me
misery's company
hasn't been comforting
or sitting with me comfortably
something sweet's, always the desire
i'm tired, i'm wired
losing count of sheep
as they no longer leap, over the wire
or over the fence
that barricades my home, that ain been the same since
& since you been gone, i been aimless
aiming all wrong, ashamed; pacing, making the same dents
in the pavement, braving the cold, & the raining
i'm getting old, when does this game end
not complaining, still when will i know
i don't know, what i know, i've just been guessing
my answer's been suggestions to multiple questions
my poems are confessions to my depression
as lessons get thrown towards the exit
where hope is shown, in that direction
light sheds its cloak, from the smoke of solitude
by the time you approach
tears are gone, fears are gone, like nothing's wrong... i salute

                                        like nothing's wrong
