the evidence shows
i told everyone adios
the levies are broke
like every heart that i exposed
i suppose the dirt roads that bore this toad
dismissed every kiss that insist that i indulge
i wish, that i listened; instead what i did is fold
hide my Jekyll & the echoes, saying
let go, if you ain’t staying
or if you’re just playing

it’s her... the flyest one in the entire room
trying her damnedest, to iron my damage
while admiring brooms, to jump over
shivering, while giving my future a once over
hiding my sandwich
from Claires, telling Cliffs, lunch is over
i understand it’s, love who wants to come over
& binge watch us
synchronize our watches
when the ink dries, the splotches
signifies time’s monotonous; but not spotless
& my greed for options, held me hostage
till annoyed & hostile, she tells me, boy stop it
what the hell… oy, i’m stopping
