calling all cars

hesitating is waiting
snoozing is losing; it's all the same &
you walked past me, too fast, see
i missed my chance, to get your name &
share mine &, share minds &, who we are
who you were, didn't occur to me
that, that blur you were
would become the world to me
you looked; i looked; then we looked away
too early to be hooked already
still, look who's hooked today
guilty; throw the book at me
love at first notice; fantasizing us hold us
maybe, just maybe; what unfolds is
a lotus surrounded by roses
within the folds of my fist
presented with a poem, just like this
cause lately, i write to entice your lips
to invite my lips over for a kiss
praying please, urgent as APB's
calling all cars, cause, you are escaping me
retracing steps; waiting at train stations
to be present, where you may be
patiently, block pacing; scrutinizing faces
reminding my mind how your face is
inconspicuous stalking, everyone walking
who fits your description
hoping my fortune find us talking & listening
at bistros or cafes often
first kisses, gradually graduates us to dating
contemplating, debating, what to wear
what to do with your hair
in the mirror, cloths everywhere
i'm here, which is near; downstairs, waiting
anticipating you there
calling each other baby, & maybe a baby
engagements, vows exchanging, old aging
growing impatient with patience
it hurts, cause first
i need to meet you & greet you with desserts
for your heart & mind's sweet tooth
so you'll crave me like crazy, after our sequel
